Ocean Water

My Story

Matt began working with OceansWide in 2009, during his junior year of undergraduate study at the University of Maine. He instantly became enthralled with the idea of using Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV’s) as an educational outreach tool.

Matt brings 15 years of summer marine science education and 11 years of Antarctic research technician experience to the organization.

He is currently splitting his time between his work in Antarctica as a Marine Supervisor and working with OceansWide as a dive instructor and educational lead.

To quote Matt “I couldn't have gotten to this point without all that I have learned from my time at OceansWide and your support. You and your dreams have made my dreams possible.”
