Sunmi Jeong - Educator, diver, marine geologist

Sunmi has been supporting OceansWide since 2010. She is a paleo-climatologist who spent 10 years working with the Korean Polar Research Institute as a PhD student. She has worked on the continent of Antarctica and onboard international research vessels around Antarctica for much of her PhD career.

Sunmi enjoys working with children teaching them about the science of the deepsea and the history of our planet.

She spends time behind the scenes supporting OceansWide while raising her 4 year old daughter Charlotte.

In her spare time she enjoys sewing and working in the garden.
