How to Get Involved
You can make a difference! Your commitment will help to
bring the students of our community face to face with experts
in the world of marine science and technology and to empower
them with the excitement to learn, grow and thrive through
education.

There are many ways to support Oceanswide. Every gift, whatever
its size, makes a difference! Choose how you would like to
contribute, whether it is by cash or check, donating equipment,
or making a gift of stock. We have many options to suit your
giving needs.
Ways to Give
- Gifts of Cash, Check or Charge
Tax-deductible gifts of any amount are welcomed and can
be made in the form of cash, check, money order or
Mastercard and VISA. An official gift receipt will be sent to
you, which can be used for income tax purposes.
- In-Kind Gifts
Oceanswide occasionally welcomes non-cash gifts such
as marine equipment, lab supplies, copiers, fax machines,
furniture, and expendable materials for the office and classroom.
Book collections, artifacts, and art objects with a maritime
theme may also be desirable gifts. If you are considering
such a gift, please contact us to determine how we might
best utilize your donation.
- Matching Gifts
Many companies encourage charitable giving by matching
employee contributions. The impact of your gift to
Oceanswide may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies even match
gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If your company
is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer,
complete and sign the form, then return it to Oceanswide.
We will do the rest!
- Planned Gifts
Planned gifts are a contribution to the future that can
provide you immediate tax relief. Gifting of stocks
and bonds, real estate, life insurance, wills and trusts, or other
appreciated assets may be a tax efficient way of supporting
Oceanswide. To make a planned gift, please contact
us to assist you in structuring your donation to best
suit your financial and philanthropic goals.
